ST. ANTHONY SCHOOL LEGACY CAMPAIGN

The Legacy Campaign is St. Anthony School’s $3 million comprehensive fundraising initiative to expand its educational reach and enrich the lives of students across our community. Rooted in a commitment to Catholic Christian values, Hawaiian cultural heritage, and student engagement, we aim to create a nurturing environment where every student can thrive academically, spiritually, and athletically. To achieve this vision, we are launching the Legacy Campaign to support our ambitious recruitment and retention plan.


Our goal is to attract a diverse group of students by integrating Catholic faith-based education, Hawaiian cultural values, and athletic excellence into a cohesive, supportive environment. With smaller class sizes, we can offer personalized attention and engagement, emphasizing academic excellence and student success. Our academy athletics program will be fully integrated into our curriculum, providing students with a unique and unparalleled opportunity for personal and athletic development. Overall, this initiative will enhance our middle school program, lay the foundation for a robust high school, and ensure long-term growth and sustainability for St. Anthony School.

  • Our School

    Established in 1848, St. Anthony School in Wailuku, Maui, has been a cornerstone of Catholic education for generations. As a K-12 institution, SAS upholds a tradition of academic excellence, faith formation, and community values. Committed to nurturing students spiritually, intellectually, and physically, St. Anthony continues to shape compassionate, responsible, and successful individuals. With a legacy rooted in faith and a dedication to preparing students for the future, SAS remains a vital part of Maui’s educational landscape.

  • Our Challenge

    St. Anthony School, despite its rich history and commitment to providing a well-rounded education has faced numerous challenges over the years.  The high cost of living on Maui, makes tuition a significant burden for many families, a situation that is further exacerbated by the lingering effects of the 2023 Maui wildfires.  Recruiting and retaining qualified teachers on the island also presents an ongoing difficulty.

Phase Two of the Legacy Campaign launches in late 2025–early 2026, bringing even greater opportunities for our students and faculty. This next phase will focus on:


  • Expanding STEM Education – Enhancing hands-on learning and innovation on campus.
  • Facility Upgrades – Improving our campus to better serve our students.
  • College Credit Opportunities – Allowing students to earn college credits while at St. Anthony.
  • Investing in Our Educators – Elevating teacher professional development.
  • Building a Special Education Curriculum – Laying the groundwork for inclusive learning.
  • Growing Our Pre-K Program – Expanding early childhood education to set a strong foundation.

Phase Three is also being planned for a future date (following the success of Phase 1 and 2) to help raise funds for the school’s Endowment Fund which will help generate income for scholarships, support our exceptional faculty, and ensure St. Anthony School’s unique educational experience will thrive for generations to come.
