Expanding St. Anthony’s Hawaiian Studies Program
St. Anthony School is deepening its commitment to ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi and Hawaiian cultural education, expanding opportunities for students to engage in ʻāina-based learning and cultural stewardship.
Students will gain hands-on experience in traditional Hawaiian agriculture, food preparation, water resource management, ecosystem restoration, ethnobotany, and animal husbandry—all within a cultural framework that fosters ʻāina resiliency and sustainability.
The program also offers Papa Makua (parent classes), huaka‘i (educational field trips), and immersive travel experiences to deepen cultural connections.
Hawaiian Language courses provide students with the skills to listen, speak, read, and write in ʻŌlelo Hawaiʻi, empowering them to engage in meaningful conversations and understand the language’s historical and cultural significance.
At its core, this program strengthens pilina (relationships), kūleana (responsibility), and servant leadership, ensuring our students grow as leaders rooted in Hawaiian values and global awareness.
Your support of St. Anthony’s Hawaiian Studies Program will help us expand staffing, enhance programming, and provide transformative learning experiences for our students!
